TOPSoccer at Snohomish Youth Soccer Club

Snohomish Youth Soccer Club is proud to host Washington State’s longest-running and largest TOPSoccer program—a soccer experience designed for individuals with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities.

US Youth Soccer's TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based recreational program for athletes ages 4 through adult, focused on creating a supportive, inclusive, and structured environment where everyone can play, grow, and thrive.

Program Highlights

Individualized Support

We strive to provide individualized support for players that need it.  Buddies can offer 1:1 support, providing encouragement, and a fun experience throughout the season.

Grouping by Ability

Players are grouped by ability rather than age, ensuring everyone has a chance to grow, compete, and succeed at their own pace.

Trained Coaches

Our coaches and administrators receive specialized USYS training in coaching players with disabilities, including strategies for inclusive play and modifications for all ability levels.

Register Now for the Upcoming TOPSoccer Season!

Our program welcomes 50–75 players each season from across Snohomish County, with a wide range of abilities and challenges. For many, it’s their first team sport experience.

We strive to provide the support each player may need, ensuring everyone can participate at their own pace.

Thanks to community support, we keep registration fees low and offer scholarships to any family in need. Player insurance is provided through Washington Youth Soccer, and all coaches and staff are dedicated volunteers.

Get Involved

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of TOPSoccer—whether you’re a student, parent, or community member, there’s a place for you here.

What Buddies Do

  • Work one-on-one or with a small group, guided by our coaches

  • Offer extra encouragement, simplify drill instructions, and model social interaction

  • Read facial cues or body language for players who have limited speech

  • Let each player set the pace—sometimes that means free-running and kicking instead of formal drills

Why Commitment Matters

Players quickly bond with their Buddies and look for them every week. That’s why we ask volunteers to commit to most sessions in a season (7–8 weeks) whenever possible.

Perks & Requirements

  • No soccer experience required—just patience and enthusiasm

  • Students earn community-service hours for every session

  • All coaches, administrators, and Buddies serve as volunteers, creating a supportive team culture
